Which are your favorites from Edgar Allan Poe? Do you have read them yet?
My favorites:
The Cask of Amontillado
The Black Cat
The Oval Portrait
The Fall of the House of Usher
The Pit and the Pendulum
To be honest with you, I really haven't read a lot of Poe's work other than the stuff they assign in school. I've always enjoyed his work, and have always wanted a nice collection of his material. Two stories that come to my mind that I really enjoyed are:
The Masque of Red Death
The Pit and The Pendulum
I don't really remember The Raven, The Cask of Amontillado or The Tell-Tale Heart all that well to really give an opinion.
I'm looking forward to reading a good portion of Poe's Poems (lol), but I am currently reading Huxley's Brave New World and plan on reading The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide and get through that series... after that I really want to read Tolkien's Children of Hurin, as I need my Tolkien fix. :-P
I can't tell ya how glad I am that you are seriously trying your hand at Atlas Shrugged. If it's just too much, I suggest you read The Fountainhead first, just to get a feel of all the ornamental styles of description Rand has.
