The Eccleston year, very much so. I haven't seen any David Tennant yet, though. Here's hoping the Sci-Fi Channel picks up Christmas Invasion and the 2nd series!
An excellent list! I agree with all but How the Ghosts Stole Christmas. That one never did click with me. Other funny favorites of mine include Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose (how about that insight into how Mulder is to die ;)), War of the Coprophages (Dr. Bambi!), Syzygy (Mulder and Scully bickering over how far the driver's seat should be pushed back - classic), X-COPS (parody - gotta love it), and the two Dreamland episodes (Michael McKean is brilliant).
I think my favorite would have to be Quagmire, though. I caught a repeat of it on TNT last month, and it still amuses me to no end.
Season 3 without a doubt with 7 of my top 10 favorite episodes: The Blessing Way/Paper Clip, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, War of the Coprophages, Syzygy, Jose Chung's From Outer Space, and Quagmire. I tend to lean more toward the humorous episodes. :-) I believe I stopped watching after season 7.
Ah.. but I'm not necessarily a spaghetti western fan, and I'm definitely not a fan of westerns in general. "A Fistful of Dollars" is arguably the least 'western' film in the trilogy. I'm almost ashamed to say my only real beef with "Yojimbo" is that everyone looks alike. In "Fistful of Dollars" it's much easier to distinguish between the rival gangs.
I'm rather fond of Netflix's 5-star system since it leads to the least amount of waffling on my part. 100-point scales are too fiddly. With my indecisiveness it would take me 5 minutes to decide if a film should rate 87 or 88. A 10-point scale likely wouldn't be much better. Four-star scales are no good because there isn't a satisfactory middle rating. That said, I use letter grades here because "5 stars" looks so dorky written out. Heheh.
Very much so! It's quickly jumped into my top 5.
Thanks. :) No, I'm American.
Thanks! Green Wing was already on my radar because of Mark Heap and Tamsin Greig, but I hadn't seen any of it before.

Blooper compilations from the TV show Red Dwarf. Smeg is a sort of all-purpose curse word in the world the series is set in.

Fair enough. :)

I never could quite tune into Buffy's wavelength, but Firefly is in my Netflix queue.
Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for those!
How about commentaries? If you view a movie and then watch it again with the commentary, does that count twice?
No. I take it you'd recommend them? I confess I've never heard of Jonathan Creek before.

Hmm.. Bloglines isn't recognizing that URL, and when I open it in a browser it comes up 404.
