That is quite a list. Thanks! I'll have to see how much of it is netflixable.
I started watching Octopus, and got about an hour in (I was knitting the whole time, so that I didn't accidentally die of boredom) but turned it off when it became clear that there wasn't actually any Octopus. I should take a crack at Octopus 2.
I've also added The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket to my to-read list.
I was at a conference once where this guy wheeled a harp onto the elevator and performed live elevator music for a few hours... He was joined by a few other people who had instruments, but eventually the hotel staff made them stop.
Not just The Sixth Sense, but most all of M. Night Shyamalan's stuff plays with color as a major story-telling device...
If I'm remembering correctly, Unbreakable used purple; The Village used red and yellow.... And I can't remember what Signs used, but there was at least one signature color.... Hm. Guess I'll have to netflix it.

Not a college, but I've always found the Hoopeston Cornjerkers wildly amusing. (I had a friend from there.)
Ankh-Morpork totally counts.
Okay, I'm utterly amazed that scanning through I caught this, but did you mean to have Grosse Point Blank in there twice?

Yeah, this one's always reminded me of you...
What's really funny is that I FOUND Texas Hero... And lost it again.
I know. The therapy, it shall be endless.
Wow. You actually made it through Veronika Decides to Die?? You can have my copy.

And I'm completely on board with Emo.
Hell, one of my dearest loves in life is a girl who went by Emo, once upon a time....
See, I think this is a fabulous list... It reflects your relish of language, and the flexibility of the names is awesome.
"Hi, my name is Ann."
....And then, later, if the person proves themselves worthy, "Nope, not Anabelle. Anemone."
Or, oooh! My little quasi-namesake "Gen."
HEEP! :D
