Assuming you're looking for a word to describe those genres and no others, there's definitely no currently existing umbrella containing just those specific genres...but the most accurate (if uninteresting) name would probably be "urban dance." Actually, I'd call it "urban rave." Neither 100% fits though - "urban dance" is not very kind to grime, and ditto for "urban rave" to rap.
If you're looking for what uber-genre happens to contain all of those styles, it would unquestionably be electronic music, or one level below that on the hierarchy, electronic dance music.
Still thinking. I'm really out of the loop on trance - I haven't really listened to very much for a long time. I liked Invol2ver, but I'm not yet sure where I'd put it on this list.
But what is the difference between "morality" and "immorality", and "good" and "evil"? (and what are any of those things, anyway?)
And what do you mean by existing in the present? If a set of rules are not universal, how can they exist in the present beyond the social/locally determined definitions?
Metal-wise, it's a style I've never gotten into at all. An album or track here or there, but it's never been something I listened to any substantial amount at all. So I'm not surprised the albums are relatively mainstream.
Nah, that'll be a while, like 15 years. It's only a design, although a professor-supported one (in other words, a fleshed out experimental design that a few professors agree is viable and simply needs funding to begin), and I can't see it getting funded until I'm in a more prestigious position than honours student. You can't really just study whatever you want at this phase, you have to work on someone else's study.
I didn't like that mix - nothing original on it at all. That kind of trance is basically dead, and it has been since around 2005. Everyone is just recycling each other's ideas now.
OK, cool, I'll check them out. I've heard the Couleurs Involver mix, and I agree that is indeed trance (you always have to list the remix you're talking about when you post a song, otherwise I won't know what track you mean).
Yeah, I love Shackleton and Appleblim, and that whole label.
Mount Kimbie is excellent. The entire Maybes EP IMO, not just (the completely awesome) William. It's like ambient dubstep.
Ahoy!
Sure. I'll download them.
Haha, it's pretty much house's equivalent of retro indie cred to actually like italo-dance.
Any dubstep suggestions? I've been listening to it a ridiculous amount, and any new tracks are always welcome.

Thanks.
Sure, I'll give that one a listen, if I can find it. Invol2ver was fairly good, I'll likely like the track.
Sorry, no idea.
I'd call you ADHD.

I'm certainly still an ADHD. I'll always be.

Haha, yeah. I sort of whipped this list off in an infatuated daze. Thanks, I'll fix it.
Actually, italo-disco has some "street cred" because it really was innovative: the first genre of dance music to be purely electronic.
Still, I've never been able to get into it. I intend to at some point, I just have trouble getting past its tinny sound quality.
