Nice list. Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World always gets me. So does Solitude by Billie Holliday. Fake Plastic Trees is also a favorite of mine.
Ignatius is one of my favorite characters too. Mostly because he's enormously funny. But I also felt he was true to himself and didn't give an inch. I admire extremist, from a distance.
I guess I'm weird because I feel good after listening to Radiohead. I know on the surface their music seems depressing and most people find them depressing. Kid A especially has an optimistic vibe underneath everything. Don't know why I feel that but I do.
John Coltrane and Miles Davis are my two favorite jazz artist. I don't know alot about jazz but I know what I like. These are the Coltrane cds I own. They are all excellent listening experiences.
John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman-Johnny Hartman has a beautiful voice. This is the album my man used to introduce me to John Coltrane. I've been in love ever since. Every song is our song.
A Love Supreme-Coltrane's spritual album. Beautiful.
Blue Train-You already know this one.
'58 Miles-featuring John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Bill Evans and Miles Davis-features plenty of greats.
Sketches of Spain-My favorite Miles Davis CD. It sounds like a movie score.
I also list Any Which Way but Loose as a favorite. I also loved: Fright Night, A View to a Kill, Cannonball Run, Big Business, All of Me and Back to School (I saw this on cable recently and still liked it). I'd watch these movies without fail if I knew they were coming on. When I was a kid that is.
How about dating models? I think that's a requirement.

Am I the only person who liked Batman? My man hated that soundtrack. I guess your critics agree. That's cool, we all have our guilty pleasures.
I'm not at all surprised that those albums received excellent ratings. I'm going to check out your New CC. I'm looking for new music.

That's on Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds'-Murder Ballads. A whole album devoted to murder, death and dying. It's actually a very lively album.
Ally McBeal-1 good season.
Nick Cave and PJ Harvey-Death Is Not The End.
Lea Thompson

I enjoyed Patton, Amadeus, Malcolm X and I Shot Andy Warhol. I would also add What's Love Got To Do with It, Men of Honor and Remember the Titans.
I forget that Kubrick did Dr. Strangelove. One of my favorite movies.
