I'm sure I'm not the only one on Listology interested in your opinion of Exile in Guyville. You'll have to let us know what you think of it after a few listens.
Hmm. I remember liking the books from this list that I've read. Wuthering Heights I loved, but for some reason never finished. I should finish it at some point. Canterbury Tales was pretty good, too. A little hard to get through, sure, but I still liked it. I really enjoyed A Separate Peace and it made me want to go to boarding school for some reason. Weird. The Scarlett Letter is actually on my short list, but I don't know when I'll get around to it.
I hear ya, but if I was going to get mine sent here the central mail place for the college wouldn't know if they should tell me or my roommate that there was a package to pick up. I guess I could just send my home address to avoid the confusion.
Jim, how do we address the envelope if we don't get the person's name? I guess we could put something Listology-related on it? Just wondering if you had thought about this at all.
I totally agree with you about Jude Law and Adrien Brody. Seth Green, to some extent.
I think I may be the only female in the entire world who isn't effected by Johnny Depp, though. I just don't get his appeal.
On Gattaca:
>If you could compare books and movies, I prefer this to Brave New World.
Seriously, Jim? I'm surprised. Gattaca was a decent movie, but better than Brave New World? Meh, I don't know. I don't consider myself a science fiction fan, so maybe that plays a role? I was just happy that I actually enjoyed a book considered science fiction, so maybe I'm remembering it as better than it was.
Nick Vane, I know you don't really contribute too much to Listology anymore, but I was hoping you could tell me where the 'way' you're referring to in "Two-Headed Boy" is. I listened to the song a few times after seeing this list, but I just can't find it! If I was going to suggest something from the song, I think 'face' when he sings "made for his lover who's floating and choking with her hands across her face" is awesome.
Is Elf really as good as I've heard? I'm still skeptical, though maybe just because I don't care for Will Ferrell. If you have a minute, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
jgandcag - I just discovered this spectacular list yesterday, and let me tell you, it has become my absolute favorite on Listology. The personal notes were so interesting, and I really enjoyed reading them. Also, just so you know, AJ wasn't the only one feeling that anachronistic nostalgia he mentioned. I just hope that in 20 years I can look back at my life so far and have such great stories to tell.
I love the plain shortbread ones. I think they're called Trefoils. Can you add those?
Whoa, how can this list exist without Prince?

So now you're enjoying college applications?
No Halle Barry??? That's just crazy!

Thanks, Dan. I guess I'll have to check it out.

Well... no. I'll make an effort to pick some up, though.
