I actually read "Pelican Brief" by John Grisham in one sitting. I had to go to Tel Aviv from Colorado Springs, and I had to connect twice, so I stayed up all day, basically trapped with my book. It was a good book too, one of my favorite Grisham novels. I doubt seriously I would have read it in 1-3 sittings had I not been in the unusual circumstance (it wasn't THAT compelling), but it was worth reading.
I think New Century Schoolbook is a better sarif font for this than Georgia. That said, I thought Times New Roman did a nice job. Now poor TNR is out of a job, on the dole, collectin' unemployment, unable to support all 26 of his lower case letters.
lbangs, although I tend toward the film end of the site, this has got to be one of the best lists here. I'd say it's either your Top 100 or jim's Recommend: lists that are the best.
Why do I think so? Other than they are large, well thought out lists, both of you give clear reasons why each selection is where it is.
What an amazing feat you have accomplished here. Now I've got to go and read them all completely!
I was so disappointed with the Matrix, I posted an arcicle. GREAT SFX, but that was it. Your explanation of a simple plot is the biggest frustration I had.
Are you kidding me? You've actually watched all of these AND you have a preference on the song? Kid you are AMAZING! Were you bred by Nazi or Russian professors in the depths of some hidden wunderkind camp? Even I haven't sat through (endured) Les Mis to have a preferred song, how the heck is a 15 y/o kid like you doing this?. YOU NEED TO GO OUT AND PLAY SOCCER RIGHT NOW!
LOL, I'm just impressed with your amazing taste and cultured lists. I might not agree with your rankings all the time, but I am amazed that someone as youthful as you can even begin to differentiate between Pirates of Penzance, Les Mis, and Singin' in the Rain. Kudos!
49.I Want To Live - Robert Wise (1958 version, anyhow)
62.Johns - Scott Silver
99.Detour - '45 Edgar Ulmer, '92 Wade Williams, '98 Joey Travolta
115. Nell - Michael Apted
How about "Great Appearances of Sean Connery Immitators"? I'd have to go with Saturday Night Live Celebrity Jeopardy.
BTW, I was named after Sean Connery. My mom was 18 and in love with him, so she named me Sean. The next year, right after The Graduate came out, my brother was born. Guess his name...and it wasn't Robinson!
Jeff, another good review!

I like the old font better. It was easier to read.

I do look at the Member Directory, and cruise the My Content pages of the members.

It was only a matter of time before this list got started, eh?
How about River Phoenix. I mean, we're used to it by now, but RIVER? The whole clan has names like that, don't they?
Jack Nicholson, Cuckoo's Nest. And it's your fav!
Tom Hulce, Amadeus (I'm obviously partial to the film.)
