If you're list does not contain "The Simpsons", then it is completely invalid by default. That show, smirk if you will because it's animated, is far, far better to any show you have referenced on your list.
I just saw "Umberto D." recently and it was one of the most powerful films I'd ever seen. I was amazed by it (and would probably put it above The Bicycle Thief). I have always wanted to see Shoeshine, but I can't find it anywhere. How did you get a hold of it?
Isn't 'After Hours' the best dark comedy ever? I thought it was amazing. I'd have to say the list is great, except I would switch 'Mean Streets' with 'The King of Comedy'.
I haven't been as priviledged as you to see as many Bunuel films. But the two or three that I have seen I loved (one of which is the wonderfully sureal "Un Chen Andalou"). I was curious if you'd ever seen "Los Olvidados". I've heard it's considered his best.
I agree very much with your list. Especially with Fellini and "La Dolve Vita." It's also great to see someone else who has seen "Last Tango in Paris" and actually like it as much as I did.
It's great to see another Truffuat admirer. I would say "Jules and Jim" is his best work, but I can't make much of an argument against a film like "The 400 Blows".
"Nights of Cabiria" is an excellent Fellini film that I believe is only rivaled by "La Dolce Vita", and maybe "8 1/2". You should see it if you haven't already.
glad to see someone else as enthusiastic about "dear prudence". great list!

How about the new PTA flick "Punch Drunk Love", which actually opens in nine days from the day I posted this.
Good God man, how did you get a chance to see these? I went to film school and the only one I remember them showing me was "A Trip to the Moon".

You should definetly see "Fanny and Alexander". It's easily Bergman's best. Try to get the five-hour version.
