Duuuuude, stop with your sticking to first track madness! :P. Monday Morning and Second Hand News are probably my favourite tracks on both albums but you're missing out. You got Tusk yet?
Yeah, I just rewatched it with a bunch of friends. They said wow every 2 minutes. You'll love it. It's like The Tree of Life actually, but more real and focused.
Watched first hour of George Harrison doc. It's pretty good. I only stopped because the video and sound were out of sync, I'll buy the DVD when it's cheaper.
Get to XTC?
Watch it already: http://www.youtube.com/lifeinaday best film of the year, easily. I'm going to watch it again tonight even though I only saw it yesterday.
Ah damn, apparently not. I was hoping that would be online as soon as it came out on DVD. Any idea why it hasn't?
Yes, yes, yes, Breaking Bad finale. Hmmm... I'm really not sure what to think. It was satisfying at the time but the more I think about it the more I feel it missed out on. It could've been far more emotional and psychological but I guess we were all kind of expecting the best episode ever but instead it felt like it skimmed tying up the loose ends rather than going into the detail it could've done. It compromised all our expectations yet we were expecting to find something we wouldn't expect. I'll see how it goes on rewatch. But it felt quite un-Breaking Bad. Good episode though, still haunted by Gus leaving the room then spoilers happening. :P
Have you heard much XTC? I've been addicted to them the past month and they're easily a top 5 band. Possibly better than John Cale and Fleetwood Mac (therefore my #3) if they continue to grow on me like this. All their albums are very favourite worthy which is a great streak: http://listology.com/tenthavenuefreezeout/list/xtc-albums-ranked
Haha damn. I've always been excited for it - but it's only the past week when I haven't thought that it'd be nothing more than very good popcorn fodder. Did you answer my question on how Red State ranks for you with all-time?
Thanks very much for the luck! I'm watching Toy Story 3 now to prepare. :P
The cinematography and score are amazing but the script is so convoluted and unbalanced that it's impossible to realize what's going on or care. It has the odd decent payoff but it's a frustratingly unfocused film. You simply can't do a whodunnit when you don't know anything about the characters - nor if you don't know if a character is alive or dead. Gary Oldman was disappointing, not because he was bad, but because he didn't have any material to work with - he has a great monologue at the mid-way point (kinda Tommy Lee Jones in No Country for Old Men style) but otherwise he just.. turns up. My 7 feels a little generous but the cinematography is even better than Tree of Life.
Research the plot. Spoil yourself. The film doesn't give anything away. I'd tell you the plot if you wanted but.. I don't know what happened. I'm not alone in this.
Yes please. Did you see my Christmas vinyl haul? (all the highlighted ones). Tons of Yes, Beatles, Who, Floyd, etc.
I'll join http://listology.com/tenthavenuefreezeout/list/film-log-2012
YOU crazy. I'm surprised Americans are digging it. Very surprised.
P.S. You got an updated top albums of all-time list?

Very cool. I can't wait.

Drive.
I'm seeing it first thing Friday. Despite moving into uni on Saturday. Hahah. Tell me more.

Bitch bump the thread.
Yeah, you're right, just "this is how much I like it." Certainly a high 8. I might bump it up to a low 9.
Also did you catch me showing you this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2040409/
