I would never ask the reverse of this question, but does reading the book instead of the movie count? I would suppose not because there is so much that goes into a movie with costuming, acting, directing, lighting just to start at the top. But for example, I've read "All the President's men", but I've never seen the movie. No, I won't count it until I've seen the movie and yet ...
