I agree with a majority of your list, excluding All I Wanna Do Is Have Some Fun. Purely senitmental reasons- it was the very first song I ever learnt the words to! I guess that shows you how old I am!

I certainly agree with you that in a romantic comedy, you want the couple to be together. I had a hard time deciding on a few of the entries, but I decided to put My BFW in just to showcase a case of unrequited love- the most painful type of love!
Interesting that nearly all of your choices are romantic songs... then Time Warp is thrown in to spice up the mix!

Plain White T's "Hey There Delilah" is my absolute favourite song of the last few years!! It is about as perfect as a song gets!
Going back a little further, I would have to put my favourite song of all time as Billy Joel's "Vienna"- check it out if you haven't already.
