Yeah, then there's She's The One also :-) I think my compilation would end up being about 5 cds long!!
No surprise at your dislike of MQOA.. I am convinced noone else likes this ;-)
Some great choices there! You've got some of my faves: Candy's Room, Roulette, Tougher Than The Rest (they would definitely be on my compilation)...Really difficult to narrow it down to 3 cds...Think I would include So Young & In Love, Rendezvous, Incident.. 10th Avenue Freeze Out and Mary Queen Of Arkansas (I think there's only me who actually likes that track so wouldn't expect to see it on anyone else's list..:-))
Great list!
Would also recommend Catcher In The Rye, one of my faves, The Picture Of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde and Puzo's The Godfather. My all time fave is Crime & Punishment by Dostoevsky. This book has it 'all' imho - plotting, murder, paranoia, intrigue...
xx
I think it's about time to watch it again too if only to see if it is as good as I remember it! I will have to remove it off 'my list of stuff I like that no-one else does'!!
...Heading off to E-bay to look for 'What Dreams May Come...'
xx
Love both these bands but I think I heard that someone said (no idea who) that many who saw The Velvets went out and started a band...
If I had voted about 15 years ago I would have voted The Doors, was hugely into them at one point. Nowadays I'd lean more towards The Velvet Underground.

I echo your sentiments Afterhours about Pacino's performance in The Godfather. His performance is sublime starting out as a young guy with his whole life ahead of him not wanting to be involved in the 'family business' with his own ideas. Then onto becoming Don Corleone etc. and winding up basically a lonely old man. His portrayal is superb. It was based on Puzo's character and Puzo also wrote the screen play (with Copolla) and IMHO it is quite close to the book (though obviously huge chunks have been condensed otherwise it would have been about 6 hours long)!! I loved all 3 Godfather films but can understand people not being keen on the third (maybe the killer priests thing is not to everyone's taste....)

Saw Southside at Manchester Academy 2. Was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.
Wow...:-) I actually am surprised!
Lol!!

Really?? I bet none of them are Diagnosis Murder...:-)

Glad it was still good! :-)
Didn't know it was a book...might give that a go..
...True, the book is often better than the film...

The Little Prince - wow! That's a lovely little story! Forgotten all about it...Thanks for reminding me! :-)
xx
The Godfather when Michael Corleone is at the christening of his nephew and all the old dons are being 'taken out'. Classic.... (imho)...
xx
Sliders - wow forgot all about that series, used to watch it. Loved the X Files but I thought that went a bit 'off' at the end...
