Well...This is only a year and several month's late for a reply, but I finally read this. I am only on forty gazillion websites.
Anywho...Loved it. I met both guys at DragonCon this year and they both autographed my book. Mignolla even doodled a skull in it. Squeeee!
My to read pile is beyond ridiculous but I have Wellington''s vampire novels in there. Just got done reading The Passage by Justin Cronin. Amazing and really different. I can't imagine it not being the first in a long series.
You can also see what is on my shelves at shelfari.com as Bibliobabe1.
It is part of the Warrior's of Poseiden series. The warrior's protect humanity from evil, like vampires, but humanity does not know yet that they actually exist. The first book follows Conlan and Riley. He is the heir to the thrown of Atlantis. She is an empath. This is cheesey paranormal romance. I need a brain break.
Overwhelmed - That is a place I frequent regularly. That was part of the reason I left grad school. After so many terms of having to read between 30 and 45 books (most of which I had read previously) I had to go back to a place where I could read what I want when I wanted. I still try and complete some of the classics on my lists, but it is at my descretion.
It has a lot to say, especially with sociologically. There are a lot of titles on the list people may never need to read, but probably should. It just depends on what college you go to and what you are studying.
I forgot to metion World War Z. I have read it twice. Not your typical scary novel, but because of the journalistic way that it is presented, it really makes you think. It hurt my brain, but I managed to do it anyway.
Loved Night Circus!

The Shining was awesome.
I would add Misery to that list if you haven't read it yet.
