i have the same 365 goal. it's gonna be kind of tough at this point. i'm going to have to see 167 more movies this year to reach it, but we'll see. i want to plan some themed double feature nights with friends, so hopefully that'll help out. good luck to you!
It probably wouldn't have made a difference regarding my longheld spot of 5, but the Coachella festival & all my preparations leading up to it kept me from seeing a full movie for over a week. I'm back, however! A little sore, but back.
Is it typical to mark a rewatch? I haven't been doing this, but wondered if that's common practice.
Also, when you say "made-for-tv movies" are you referring to anything & everything that was made for tv? for instance, HBO documentaries, BBC documentaries, etc.
Really, really enjoyable. I've been wanting to see the original BBC miniseries (I love-ish Kelly MacDonald). Once I do that, I'm excited to rewatch the movie for comparison.
I kind of dropped out of a lot of online networks and haven't even been to this site in quite awhile. I would be interested in being in a 2010 scoreboard, though. It's good to see this is still an occurance 2 years after my last perusal!
I love Buster Keaton! Why've you chosen the General of all the features (or two-reelers, for that matter) that he made? I was in awe of the General the most, but it definitely wasn't the funniest to me. I'd probably choose either Sherlock, Jr. or Streamboat Bill, Jr. for pure comedy-ness.
Just out of curiousity, how long have you been consciously working on finishing this list? And also, about how many had you seen when you started? I guess I'd be considered a "newbie" in this respect.
It's good to know someone else is trying to accomplish the "1001 films" list. How frustrating is it when you come across one that isn't available on DVD? or VHS!!?!? For instance, I was all excited about Shanghai Express, and I find out that there's no official DVD release of it. Same with the Bitter Tea of General Yen. I guess I'll have to cave in and dust off the old VCR.
i'm counting down the days. my account is "on hold" and i've set it up to reactivate may 14th. i could have just went from 3 out at a time to one, but i refuse to lower myself to those standards! which is another way of saying i'd rather have none than only have one at a time...it's a compulsion or something.
Yay! I'm happy to join again! I'm (hopefully) fitting more movies around my work schedule this year..

I'm in again.

or, i should say, my longheld spots of 5 & 6. that's more accurate.

This has been really fun so far, by the way!
A couple questions (this is my first year!):

I'll try and keep up...

Are you a fan of Wes Anderson at all?
Also, What About Bob? is a beautiful thing.

Too late to add? I'm new 'round here. Very new, actually.
