Vanishing on 7th Street-February? I thought it had already come and gone long ago? I was just figuring on seeing it on the 18th when it came out on DVD. Are you in the US or somewhere else?
Last Year At Marienbad, huh? I could NOT get through that one. I had looked forward to it for years and I just thought it was a huge letdown. Good to see The Descent, Saw, Oldboy and both versions of The Vanishing on your list. Did you not like Funny Games "revisited"? I rate them both about the same. THere are a lot of nice ones on here. Never been a fan of Jarmusch or Allen (and you seem to have listed their entire filmographies here), but there are quite a few that I still need to see myself. Nice list. I have a list just like this - check it out.
I just posted on that comment board and "name-dropped" our community. Yeah, I kinda miss the search, but mainly I come on here and continually update about 2-3 lists and when I make a new one I dont care whether someone else has the same list or not (no offense to the other commenter by the way). I love this site because its structured enough so as not to be offputting or scary and its freeform enough that Im not bored of it two seconds later.
My only real complaint: make the highlighting "yellow" again and not baby-shit-green :D
Neat list. I love trip hop, but its an extremely difficult genre to find stuff in so its great to have this list as a reference. Only one Ruby track though? I cant think of a song of hers that I *dont* like...
Not sure if this would exactly count (Im not nearly as well-versed in this genre as you are), but give a listen to Vanessa Daou-Near The Black Forest (might be "In the..." - cant remember). Let me know how you would classify that and if it fits into the trip hop category
A couple of these songs I didnt realize were Trip Hop...like Justify My Love...who knew? (not me, obviously)
Enabling your OCD, one post at a time. Perfect. That alone is awesome enough for me to stop browsing and post this. :D
One thing though so far...I make a lot of small edits (partly for fear my computer will shut down in the middle of something, partly because I like to see how things look as Im going along). There used to be an option to not kick your update to the top if you were just correcting something minor (to avoid being annoying). How does that work now?
I guess I misunderstood the game. I didnt know we were limited to an arbitrarily picked set of directors. Ill try to do my best with whats here I guess...
P.T. Anderson: Magnolia (really just Julianne Moore's scenes)
Wes Anderson: The Royal Tenenbaums
Coen Brothers: The Man Who Wasnt There
Stanley Kubrick: ACO
David Lynch: Lost Highway
KEvin Smith: Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
Quentin Tarantino: Kill Bill (I gotta consider them both one package. If I had to choose, #2 wins out by a fingernail)
Session 9 - Brad Anderson
Plunkett & Macleane - Jake Scott
K-PAX - Iain Softley
Calvaire - Fabrice Du Welz
Fabled - Ari Kirschenbaum
Angel Heart - Alan Parker
8mm - Joel Schumacher
Killing Words (Palabras Encedenadas) - Laura Mana
The Fountain - Darren Aronofsky
Thursday - Skip Woods
The Tenant - Roman Polanski
It was like one giant over-acted caricature after the next. Everytime I saw the gang members doing or saying *anything* I didnt know if I wanted to laugh or cringe. After about the first 20 minutes, me and my friend just MSTd the rest. I would point out scenes in particular (like the roof scene LOLOLOLOLOLOL), but just when I think of one scene that HAD to be the most horrible, another one pops into my head. Wow.
GIANT laughable disaster. I think James Wan musta thought Running Scared was really cool and decided he was ready!! Not really, James. Not really.
Excuse me for being retarded, but what exactly is "span"? I had seen the term before in that Godfather example, but I never used it and couldnt figure it out...
Col Ive seen it twice... Its really amazing.
I Am A Fugitive From A Chain Gang!
Thank you for the comment. Im 31, female, and from Las Vegas. My wantlist mirrors this list btw.

Also looking forward to Source Code!
Sounds fun. Ill take a look at it tomorrow when I have the time to dedicate to it.

Ecstatic that your favorite (90s) Metallica song is 'Sad But True'. Thats my fave as well!

THats funny, because those are the only two I got as well. I thought I knew some others, but the artists and not the names of the albums.
