The Official Trip Hop Classics Top 100

Neat list. I love trip hop, but its an extremely difficult genre to find stuff in so its great to have this list as a reference. Only one Ruby track though? I cant think of a song of hers that I *dont* like...

Not sure if this would exactly count (Im not nearly as well-versed in this genre as you are), but give a listen to Vanessa Daou-Near The Black Forest (might be "In the..." - cant remember). Let me know how you would classify that and if it fits into the trip hop category

A couple of these songs I didnt realize were Trip Hop...like Justify My Love...who knew? (not me, obviously)

Listology 2.0 Sneak Preview

Enabling your OCD, one post at a time. Perfect. That alone is awesome enough for me to stop browsing and post this. :D

One thing though so far...I make a lot of small edits (partly for fear my computer will shut down in the middle of something, partly because I like to see how things look as Im going along). There used to be an option to not kick your update to the top if you were just correcting something minor (to avoid being annoying). How does that work now?

What Do Your Favorite Films By Some Filmmakers Say About Your Personality?

I guess I misunderstood the game. I didnt know we were limited to an arbitrarily picked set of directors. Ill try to do my best with whats here I guess...

P.T. Anderson: Magnolia (really just Julianne Moore's scenes)
Wes Anderson: The Royal Tenenbaums
Coen Brothers: The Man Who Wasnt There
Stanley Kubrick: ACO
David Lynch: Lost Highway
KEvin Smith: Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back
Quentin Tarantino: Kill Bill (I gotta consider them both one package. If I had to choose, #2 wins out by a fingernail)

Bottom 10 movies Of All Time

It was like one giant over-acted caricature after the next. Everytime I saw the gang members doing or saying *anything* I didnt know if I wanted to laugh or cringe. After about the first 20 minutes, me and my friend just MSTd the rest. I would point out scenes in particular (like the roof scene LOLOLOLOLOLOL), but just when I think of one scene that HAD to be the most horrible, another one pops into my head. Wow.

GIANT laughable disaster. I think James Wan musta thought Running Scared was really cool and decided he was ready!! Not really, James. Not really.

New Listology Update

Excuse me for being retarded, but what exactly is "span"? I had seen the term before in that Godfather example, but I never used it and couldnt figure it out...

New Listology Update

Personally I dont ever use images and I kinda like that the site is pretty much text-only. Of course, Im not sure how many people there are on here who are going to care if images are disallowed.

I just want my color! Speaking of that, I dont even recall what the code is for color. I just copy-pasted someone elses and never bothered to learn it myself...

Reading List (Individual Books)

Nine Kinds of Naked didnt really look that interesting (too bizarre for its own good -- weird for weird's sake), but if I really like ...Days, then I'll definitely give Naked a shot.

Its rather fascinating to look through your wantlist because you seem to find out about a lot of newer stuff that I would never ordinarily get into. It must be neat to be into many authors where you actually have to wait for a new book to come out LOL (most of the authors I follow are long-dead). *I* can really only say that about Palahniuk, Lethem, and Carroll (Jonathan not Lewis). Im not counting authors like Haldeman until Ive read a substantial amount of their stuff first.

Have you found any interesting goodies from my list(s)?

New Listology Update

I was juuuuust beginning to wonder what was going on behind the scenes. Thanks for the update. I only have one really BIG request, and I think Jim might have already mentioned this to you: I dont care about most html coding thats being used, but I really have a system going with the use of color. Actually just the color red (but other colors are good too). I dont see how just allowing colors would be harmful. I really miss my red color-coding as it would allow me to know exactly which books out of all my authors' bibliographies that I wanted to read next without going through over 1,000 books to make a decision.

As for suggestions, I would like to see maybe like a checkbox option for your lists (or others maybe) where you can easily check off what youve seen/heard/listened to, etc. This would be quicker and neater than going in and editing the little plus signs.

Overall though, I really like the simplicity of the site and I wouldnt want it to deviate much from what its always been

Artists whose Solo Career Rivals the Group They Were Originally Apart Of

Just came in here to make sure Peter Gabriel was on the list. Thumbs up! Some of these I didnt even know went out on their own or were even a part of a band in the first place (Les Claypool for instance)

I really have to disagree with you on Gwen Stefani though. Id REALLY rather have No Doubt back.

Reading List (Individual Books)

Its not impatience because Im happy waiting and waiting its just that there is a lot of unnecessary dialogue and descriptions of things and plenty of redundancies. Im sick of the words duffel, digital, and gobstopper at this point. Im on pge 283 now. Im hoping I can finish it tonight. I really want to read The Purple Cloud next...

Reading List (Individual Books)

I saw his stuff on your list at first and I looked him up but dismissed him. I might look into him a little further since youve specifically pointed him out. I just checked out two more books though (Remainder by Tom McCarthy and Second Invasion From Mars by the Strugatsky brothers) in addition to the 7 other ones that I have so its gonna be a while LOL.

You ever feel like one book is just holding you back and you feel like youre behind? Overall Im liking Doomsday Book, but it could be about 100 pages shorter. Its extremely redundant. Im on page 263 now and I feel like Ive been reading it for a month
