What did you think of The Scarlet Pimpernel? I was worried it was just a bit of fluff but it was surprisingly entertaining and felt far more modern than its publish date.
Then I went to go and check out the 1934 film with Leslie Howard and I was not disappointed. He was perfect!
I just saw "Went the Day Well" and wrote a review for it after a recommendation from a movie blog. The level of brutality and violence was shocking considering when it was made but I bet that it was very effective in theatres. I see you've rated it very highly. What did you think of it?
How did you feel about Part 2 of "A Study in Scarlet"? I was totally confounded and reread the end of Part 1 and the beginning of Part 2 about three times, trying to figure what happened. I started to think that maybe the book was bound in the wrong order until I read a little further but the beginning was completely off-putting.
Everything has magically fixed itself! I wasn't receiving a Captcha code for the entire year I wasn't able to post on that list. Instead I've just been plugging away on my blog and occasionally knocking books off the list. I'm in the midst of sprucing up my other lists with links to reviews. I see you've been busy though! Any favourites so far?
This is a great goal! I'm also slow with knocking books off my list.
I've also been having problems with my list on here. Everytime I try to update it I'm told the spam filter has been triggered and I can't save anything. How have you been able to update your list?
Hi, the list is "Original - Books you should read if you want to consider yourself well-read"
I haven't been able to update it since last summer because whenever I try I get this:
•warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/listology.com/sites/all/modules/cck/modules/text/text.module on line 175.
•Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted.
I've sent emails to the contact number for Listology but never heard anything back.
I've tried to make changes to one of my lists but it doesn't matter what time of day I try it always triggers the spam filter and it won't let me do anything. I've never had to enter a CAPTCHA code. At this point I don't know what to do. I don't want to split the list up or reload it as I don't want to lose my comments. Any suggestions?
I just saw that you read "The Last Spike". I'd never read Berton before but found this enjoyable because it was engaging. What did you think?
Awesome! Thank you so much for spotting this. That's another one I can knock off this list.
As it's not on your list yet I would recommend "The Rains Came" if only for the amazing special effects.
Hi!
I'm still in the midst of creating this list. Currently I only have 257 things on this list. I hope to add to it next year.
Hi!
Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to delete the duplicate.

Glad to hear you liked Persuasion. It's my favourite of her books and that letter at the end kills me everytime.

Thanks! I love being able to take things off this list, especially if it's duplicates.

This is a list of books I read and don't think belong on with 'books you should read to consider yourself well-read'.
