Maybe if you like the kind of Rebecca, you would probably like The River King by Alice Hoffman as the writing really looks like Du Maurier, Byatt and Süskind.

The first coming to my mind was La Toque rouge by William Strang, but you say that the scarf is white, then I don't know, hum...

I do a fast google images search on William Strang and I come up with a site with a girl with a white scarf, huge eyes, but a little bit slim:

No other idea that come to my mind, if there is someting else, I will tell.

This is so a weird list. I like it! I didn't know they had so many books in that category...

Me too. I look the Alice trailer and it looks great (I love the rabbit at the end)! I've just finished CORAline and I like it. Not as much as Alice of course, but it was fun.

I've read A Room With a View last month. I don't know if this is because I read it in french, but I tought this is "old", but I prefer the movies for that case.

What do you think about Coraline? Is it fun? I have borrowed the book and I will read it very soon. I'm a huge fan of Alice and I'm a little bit scare that Coraline is a rip-off more than an inspiration.

I see there is underscore for the links in comments, it would be great for the lists too, because it's clearer.

I don't receive email never. I've click the box and choose "all comments"...

I put a comment in someone list (like there) and I didn't receive email when he posted me back. I look in the spam folder, but nothing there and my email adress is good too.

Sorry, I don't speak english very well, maybe I did something wrong...
