I have to admit, I still refer to myself as a strict noob to this music, even though I've been listening to it for years.
I've basically just gone by yours and Darktremor's profiles as trance guides to exploit myself to other worlds of trance. Yes, I really did just use the word world in that context.
What I've heard of ambient trance amazes me, but other than Sasha's few works you haven't heard, the other songs I favor are songs you'd also recognize.
But don't worry, if I find anything that bursts a great interest out of me, you're officially first on my exploitation list. Lol.
Precisely why I won't watch Hostel Part 2. A friend told me a child gets handpicked and shot dead. Why do people have to hurt the children? I die inside. Ugh.
Argh!!! Why on Earth would I watch such tripe!?!?!? I've read reviews on this by AsColdAsIce... and was thoroughly disgusted just by that!
I'd add it right away but I don't have the nerve, stamina, personality, even moral existence to watch something like that! Thus... I can't put it on this list if I haven't seen it...
Sorry if I've disappointed anyone with that remark...
So I don't exactly know why I work like this... but I move from one music genre to the other taking turns in my great interest. Don't get me wrong, I take great interest in more than one genre... at the moment I'm caught up in both Neo Trance and Post Progressive. But now I'm getting into the early Ambient House... but I need serious help with my curiosity, could you give some recommendations?
There's only really three big tracks I know of. (The Orb's "Little Fluffy Clouds," William Orbit feat. Beth Orton's "Water from a Wine Leaf," and Banco De Gaia's "How Much Reality Can You Take?") Could you give me any recommendations that have this same kind of sound?
Aaaahh!!! I have to go beyond what both of you were conversing about and touch on the fact that you haven't heard Sasha's Airdrawndagger.
I purchased that cd before I was as deep into trance as I am now, I bought it before I came across Listology for that matter.
I think the entire album Airdrawndagger is absolutely delicious. "Wavy Gravy" is indisputedly the most well known track included at the end of the album, and rightfully so.
Now I'm not really one who's ever recommended any tracks to anyone else's trance lists, but if you listen to "Wavy Gravy" and like it, I strongly recommend acquiring "Bloodlock" as well. The two tracks are VERY different, but are both solid favorites of mine.
And that's my two cents! Thanx!
Oh, and I also favor "Mr. Tiddles," but that's much more ambient than trance.
Ugh if I keep going on that I'll just name every track on the cd, so I'll stop now.
Well I've accepted the fact that I kinda live my life like a pussy anyway.
It's one thing to kill a person and mangle them up, but to kill something that hasn't even gotten the chance to actually live is kinda relentless and almost cruel to put onto screen.
But everyone has their own opinions. Mine's just a pussy one, that's all.
... if I could make a pussy chibi face with text right now... I would... :-/
... is... that okay... ?
i can always change it again...
i just thought your explanation on that subgenre of trance was a really good one... but i really i can change it, i didn't mean to plagerize it... just endorse it rather...
Yesh... I have the older Backstreet Boys cds... I was going to leave them out... but what's the use anyway. I was a pop-tart hangover in my teen years. Sssh. :)
"Butterfly" got lots of attention due to the fact that it trampled DDR fans attention spans worldwide. I have a friend that's still head over heels inlove with that song... he takes DDR quite seriously...
Side Note: There's a "Pikachu Remix" to that song. Oh dear...
But if you want to get SUPER SUPER cheesy... Smile.DK's "Boys" takes the cake, eats it, licks the frosting and pukes it all over the walls. Of course this could all just be personal opinion...

Hahahahaha, I feel asleep through POTC2 as well. Awesome aspect for a list. I love it.
... didn't Hanna-Barbera do Scooby Doo and The Jetsons?

LMAO!!! Blind that's genius. I will forever, from this moment on, remember your connection between Shrek's Prince Charming and A&F.
That graced my day.
Umm... Blind dear? You have Apocalypse Now listed twice... unless you're thoroughly thrilled by it THAT much... and it's worthy of multiple places...
Thanx!
I have to agree with AfterHours. I just read the entire list, and laughed whole heartedly until it hurt.
And oh yes, it still hurts. Quite a bit. :)
This list is precious.
How about Smily.DK?

Oh... and cheesy Eurodance lyrics...
The Real McCoy's "One More Time"
And another winner STRONGLY recommended by me:
Lucas Prata and Reina's "Love of my Life"
