I'm glad you liked it! I can't understand why The Invasion was so awful considering his first two movies were excellent. I think maybe more continental directors should stay in their country. Marc Forster has done some good stuff though.
"Moloch" by Sokurov is supposed to be pretty good as well, about Hitler. I haven't seen it yet. Indeed you seem to be cranking them out! I don't know where you find the time!
He is a monster talent and I highly recommend him to anyone that enjoys long expository digressions and sophisticated narratived devices. Infinite Jest is a long read, almost 1/4 of it is composed of footnotes. The Broom of The System is a good place to start if you want something fun and playful; here is is more of the Delillo comparisons you may see. A Suposedly Fun Thing... is a great book of essays as the cruise ship and mass media pieces are hysterically funny and insightful.
I was there in 2001, a fascinating place! Although, it was shortly after the NATO bombings and Serbs weren't too keen on an American at that time. I would really like to go back and see more of it, maybe once the dust settles on the whole Kosovo/Karadzic issues.
Surprising to see you read so many Anglo writers! Ever read In the Hold by Arsenijevic? I thought it to be pretty great.
I almost picked it up but went with Faulkner. Out Stealing Horses looks great! It won the Dublin/Impac award, which is of pretty high quality in my estimate. You should check out their website, gives you lots of great ideas for books to read. The longlist gives synoposis of the 100+ books nominated.
neat
Jean-Pierre Jeunet
Marc Forster

I loved Downfall!!! What did you think of it? I thought a little more could have been done with the fall of Berlin though.
Sounds great! Thanks for the hard work! I love the idea of doing more with the front page.
Oh my god you haven't read Pynchon?!!! He's the James Joyce of postmodernism. I would highly recommend Gravity's Rainbow.
Can we keep the boldprint HTML as well? ?
Hey Rocker... You Rock!!!
