Mostly about 4 years. I adore silent cinema, and would love to own much more! But silent films aren't a priority on most companies releasing schedules. ;-)
I also used to collect some 10 years ago, but (unfortunately) got rid of most of the stuff later on. Good old VHS - too bad.
Btw.: I haven't seen most of the films I own. I just enjoy collecting. :-)
Exactly. I also found out that I tended to go much more often for "lighter" fare in the past, and now that I try to relax, I can also regularly watch something more demanding with subs at home - even if I'm a bit tired. And if I can't get through it in one sitting, I'll just split it into two ore more sessions. Although I enjoy most movies there is a slight difference between just watching one of your films at home, or choosing "the" fim you want to watch right now. I want to be more specific in 2012.
I agree with you (and as you can see from my profile, I'm also a somewhat obsessive listmaker), but that's part of my problem. Looking at the scoreboard, I'd probabky try squeezing in a few films more, as I'd try to reach the Top 3, even if it would sometimes be unwise, and I should actually be doing other stuff than watching films. I'm sure we all know how that feels.
Right now, I just want to watch films, when I'm in the mood, and making a contest out of it kinda detreacts from that. But maybe I'll feel more relaxed about this in the future.
So, have fun an be sure, I'll check in every now and then to see how the participants are doing. ;-)
There's not much fun, if you aren't able to win. And looking at the 2011 Scoreboard results, I would have once again (!) finished in 4th place. So, as much as I'd enjoy participating, I'll have to refuse once more. But who knows - maybe next year. :-)

Nope, I'll take a rest this time. It seems I'm usually unable to get a Top Spot anyway, and I don't want to exclude short films, tv-movies, mini-series and other stuff anymore. That means, I would need an extra list for the scoreboard - I might just do that in 2012, though. ;-)
The reason why I haven't updated my list (numbered it properly) is that because of some other occupations I had forgotten to write down all the films I've seen (I think I'd probably be in no.2 spot right now...).
Right now I have no clue about 50 to 60 films I've seen this year. Stil trying to find a way to remember all those titles, so I won't update till I either complete my search or give up and number what I remember.
Sorry that I sometims have my own way of numbering my lists, and thanks for the effort of taking a second look and getting things right. :-)

Found a simple and effective way to number my list without bothering you with my "missing" films.
So I'm back in the game!! :-D
