Its actually kind of fun, I do not by any means think it is "terrible". I enjoy the grandmother's ramblings and the wacky tunes. I've only listened to it once, and I can tell already its not something I would listen to a lot, but I give them credit for stretching out and doing something interesting.
Also, once you get past the fact that its a waste of talent and why mess with perfection, the Gang Of Four record is pretty interesting. Not "good" per se, but listening to the versions side by side reveals various aspects of how working in the studio in differing conditions can make worlds of difference to the end product, and I can appreciate that a lot.
I saw the Weddoes back when Bizarro came out and they were pretty hot shit. Cop Shoot Cop opened too, what the hell ever happened to them? They fucking ripped.
I have two questions about films which I don't know if I should count them or not for this list.
I saw a work-in-progress print of Linas Phillips' film Walking To Werner, which is incomplete and apparently the filmmaker (who was present) hasn't even watched all his footage yet.
The DVD-only Family Guy movie, Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story.
Because of the large amount of classic rock involved, I have to suspect music licensing issues. I actually dug around for a bootleg recently among varying sources and came up dead empty.
You know its unfair couching this discussion of a masterpiece like Cold Water in terms of miss Ledoyen's (admittedly quite lovely) ta-tas. The film is quite stunning and not exactly the feel-good movie of the summer.
The first time I saw Cold Water my jaw was just on the floor when it cut to black at the end. Thats one of those climaxes you never forget. Plus that whole party scene is just so perfect from beginning to end.
The only reason that movie works is because of The Ramones, without them it is nothing. What, are they going to use Green Day or Sum 41? Pulease. Here's an entertaining concept - Rock N Roll High School featuring Low.
I actively disliked Me And You And Every Quirky Fucking Loser We Know, but the first AIM chat scene with the two brothers is quite likely the best thing I'll see all year.
There should be a corrolary to number 3 that says "Unless you are a secondary character, in which case you will always choose the wrong one" - see THE SMALL BACK ROOM and JUGGERNAUT
I had never actually heard The Eels before this and I just found the record REALLY boring. Given all the hype that had come in front of it, I expected at least something a little more distinctive.

Your comments are appreciated.
Yeah but will this release have English subs? I can't tell from the product description.

Sorry this post was supposed to go over there
One more word - TASTY
Oh this list is crying out for Irreversible

SNARF! SNARF!

Hey I don't watch those direct to video slasher movies y'all are so fond of.
Maybe IMDB year is a better solution? Something needs to be done about this growing problem.
