Wow, I'm humbled by the variety! It's amazing how few of the breweries I actually recognize. The Midwest has a few exemplary micros (Three Floyds, Bell's, Founder's) but not near the breadth of what you guys have on the left coast.
I first tried Leffe in a small town in France that I visited for work, and in that part of the country, it's practically the equivalent of Bud. (Well, 1664 is more like Bud, so I guess that makes Leffe France's Miller Genuine Draft.)
I really, really like it. It has the same kind of spiciness and fruity qualities of other Belgians, so that may turn some people off. I prefer the Brown to the Blonde, but think that neither is in the same league as Delirium. It's a hell of a lot easier to find on tap in Canada, though.
It's mostly indie rock/pop, but there are a few underground hip-hop and electronica selections as well. It runs the gamut from beautiful and melodic to noisy experimental stuff, so there's something for everyone!
* Animal Collective - Sung Tongs
* Antony & The Johnsons - I Am a Bird Now
* Stars - Set Yourself on Fire
* The Decemberists - Picaresque
* British Sea Power - Open Season
* The Hold Steady - Separation Sunday
* The National - Alligator
* Ponys - Celebration Castle
Most are emusic downloads, but still good quality, and ALL are really good picks.
An aside, "Planes Mistaken for Stars" is one of the coolest band names I've ever heard. I'm a little afraid they'd be too emo for me, but I have to give them credit for their nom-de-rock.
I think you're right about me not giving Crimes enough spins before making a judgment. It's so far out of my typical listening realm (much like the Deerhoof album) that there is definitely more of an adjustment period.
Cale is such an artsy dude, it's no surprise that he always chooses such memorable images. I personally LOVE his cover for the Church of Anthrax album. His latest for Hobosapiens is creepy/cool as well.
Good choices. As you can see, I'm definitely skewed more toward the punk/post-punk era in my picks, but I definitely enjoy the stuff that Hipgnosis did in the seventies.
Here's a list of all the Hall of Fame quarterbacks of the modern era. You've covered many of them, but I think Bart Starr, Bob Griese and Fran Tarkenton deserve a place somewhere on your list.
George Blanda (Also PK) 1949-1958, 1960-1975
Terry Bradshaw 1970-1983
Len Dawson 1957-1975
John Elway 1983-1998
Dan Fouts 1973-1987
Otto Graham 1946-1955
Bob Griese 1967-1980
Sonny Jurgensen 1957-1974
Jim Kelly 1986-1996
Bobby Layne 1948-1962
Dan Marino 1983-1999
Joe Montana 1979-1994
Joe Namath 1965-1977
Bart Starr 1956-1971
Roger Staubach 1969-1979
Fran Tarkenton 1961-1978
Y.A. Tittle 1948-1964
Johnny Unitas 1956-1973
Norm Van Brocklin 1949-1960
Bob Waterfield 1945-1952
Steve Young 1985-1999
Cool! I actually tried something specifically because it was on the list - cream tea, which is a scone covered with clotted cream and raspberry jam traditionally eaten at tea time. Very tasty!
It's a fairly goofy selection of foods, but fun nonetheless.
Seconding dc's take on Arcade Fire. It's not very often that I get THAT wrapped up in a show. It really was transporting.
Has Amy Dykes of IatWTC recovered from her battle with cancer? I remember reading about it last year, and would take it as a very promising sign if she was once again able to tour.

I wasn't that impressed, to be honest. It might make a good review, though, and the Black Metal pairing is an excellent idea.
The Rochefort 10 (which my wife picked out at the store) was REALLY good, as was the Kentucky Breakfast Stout.

My list is definitely not as extensive (or organized) as yours, but I thought it would be fun to keep track of where a ton of my money goes.
Belgians are my weakness, for sure. Too bad they're so hard to find and so damn expensive.

Sounds good! I can hook you up with Decemberists, Ponys, and The Hold Steady in return.
I haven't see Edan, but I'm very intrigued after reading what I have about his latest album.
Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely have to keep my eye out for him!
I have the following if you're interested:

GASP! I had no idea you went to ATP. I'm...so jellus I could faint. :)
