I love my Kindle. Very easy on the eyes. I read it almost every day, but only charge it maybe once a week. I've had it about a year and I've had no problems. I love reading it in restaurants because I can turn pages with one hand. It is very easy to purchase new books using the Kindle as long as you are somewhere with a cell phone signal. The only down side is I can't loan or give away books that I've purchased on the Kindle.
There is a huge selection of books available for the Kindle, but you won't find out-of-print books. You can load it with plain text files so you can read books from the Gutenburg Project.
I frequently had two jobs at the same time. I also forgot about the two weeks I spent at a medical research facility. They used me and other subjects to test the safety of a new antibiotic. I got $2500 for my trouble.
Melanie Moon has only seen one movie this year. Jeff Howard says one of the best movies. Which could mean there are hundreds of great movies and Lords of Dogtown was one of them. Jack Mathews says that Off the Map is "perhaps" the most evocative movie of the year. Perhaps it is not.
I have a couple of friends who have had only 2 or 3 jobs in their entire lives. My lack of job stability may come back to bite me in the future, although I've never been fired and previous employers generally give me good recommendations.
It's too bad his e-mail was anonymous. It might be that he will anger more black folks than anyone else. I would be interesed to see what movies he did like.
I have now seen Hurt Locker and Brothers, but I don't think I would change my list for them.
There were some other good movies that I didn't see that could have made the list:
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Hurt Locker
Brothers
How many do you regret seeing?

I also see that Best Buy is selling the new Toshiba HD-A1 HD DVD Player.
Maybe soon HD videos will be available for rent or purchase.

How tall is the tallest building within that 1 mile radius?

Silly me. What was I thinking? There is even a phonograph or Victrola in Nanook of the North.
Ditto on Black Robe. A couple more pre-1776 movies definitely worth watching: Fast Runner (2001) and Nanook of the North (1922). Both are set in Canada.
