What did you think of Wuthering Heights?
I have just finished reading it.
The Outsiders by SE Hinton is one of my all-time favourites.
I didn't enjoy Wuthering Heights much at all unfortunately. Didn't think much of the characters, couldn't be bothered caring if Heathcliffe and Cathy ever got together! Then again, I might be tempted to read it again, because I haven't read very many classics - maybe I just need to get used to the style.
I can't remember much about The Outsiders as I read it in high school, but do remember being impressed.
Well done! I'd never attempt to compile such a list.
Hi! Thanks for the encouraging message. It's quite frustrating when you get to the point where you can't remember any more, or you can remember bits of books but not the author or title. There are a few on this list that I'm not sure I've remembered correctly... I'm forever searching Amazon and other lists of books and Googling character names etc. Sometimes I post a message on the Bookcrossing (www.bookcrossing.com) forum asking "if anyone knows the name of a book about..." and I've actually gotten a few answers this way!
