I guess if you are VERY biased towards Dire Straights, you could justify putting Knopfler that high....but it kind of reminds me of Rolling Stone putting Jack White at 17. And why is Santana 1? Sure he's great but he hasn't contributed anything original to the music industry. Hendrix should be 1 if your talking about wizards. He may not have been the fastest or most skilled but he was the most innovative and creative. Are You Experienced was released in 1966. Compare the music on that LP to other music from 1966 and you will see my point.
