THE place to find DVDs
Submitted by Infomaniac on Mon, 03/18/2002 - 02:51I found a GREAT FREE service that compares a bunch of DVD outlets, and lists the price from each. It's DVDPriceSearch.NET, and it is EXCELLENT. They search many of the very low cost outlets, including my personal favorite, DeepDiscountDVD (which I discovered in one of the lists on Listology! Whoever recommended it, THANKS!)
One thing it doesn't search is Ebay/Half.com. Ebay isn't really the treasure-trove of DVDs that it could be. Sure, there are a LOT, but I don't think the prices are that great.
In Search of: The Definition of FILM NOIR
Submitted by Infomaniac on Mon, 02/18/2002 - 03:47In the search from a definition of Noir films, I've come across several sites. I'll continually update this as I get more. I will attempt to make it clear when stuff is original (my opinion) or from another site (by demarking it with the URL.)

EXP: Why 'The Matrix' Wasn't 'The One' For Me
Submitted by Infomaniac on Fri, 02/15/2002 - 02:35WHY THE MATRIX WASN'T 'THE ONE' FOR ME
The Matrix was a great movie for the special effects (SFX), but was it the masterpiece that people rave about. In my opinion, it was not. I felt the characters were one dimensional and the plot was as straight and unbranched as a family tree in West Virginia.
In The Matrix we establish the good guys, we establish the bad guys. The bad guys are oppressive.
