- Titanic 2; I know the theme has been done to death but this film takes the perspective of the iceberg. Their relationships are explored until tragically the iceberg collides with the Titanic and daddy bear is thrown off and drowned.
- Apollo 14; The sequel to Apollo 13. Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell land safely on the moon and together with command module pilot Stuart Roosa, return to earth without major incident. The climax of the film is Alan Shepard’s attempt to hit a golf ball on the surface of the moon.
- Harry Potter and the Chariots of Fire; Harry Potter and his chums compete to represent Hogwarts at the wizard Olympics. Harry is a champion 400m runner but refuses to run in the heats which are scheduled at the same time as his confrontation with Voldemort he has in every film. The situation is saved by Ron, who gives up his place in the 100m so Harry can confront Voldemort and compete as well.
- Trainspotters; Unlike the similarly titled film Trainspotting, this film is actually about trainspotting. The climax of the film is when L.N.E.R. 4472 The Flying Scotsman arrives at Liverpool Street instead of Kings Cross after being re-routed at Peterborough because of a signal failure.
- The Lambshank Reduction; Two inmates plan a cunning escape when competing in a national cookery competition for prisoners called ‘Masterchef Behind Bars’ which is to be televised. However, one of them manages to get to the final and decides to stay instead of escaping.
- Raging Balboa; A prequel to the Rocky series, this film explores the complex family life of Rocky’s father, Pebbles Balboa, who eventually loses to Jake LaMotta by a technical homicide in the 54th round of a gruelling world title fight.
- Live And Let Die Hard; Starring Roger Moore and Bruce Willis. James Bond and John McClane foil terrorists who have taken hostages at a nursing home for ageing film stars in Los Angeles. Their efforts are frustrated by a female terrorist who predicts their every move by reading Tarot cards.
- Ice Cold In Essex; A wartime film which relates the adventures of an ambulance crew who have to get to Chelmsford from the besieged port of Great Yarmouth across dangerous snow and ice covered Suffolk . When they eventually get there, they have a mug of hot cocoa.
- The Lost Angel Code; Made from cutting and re-editing three of Dan Brown’s books to make a film script which is slightly better and more believable than either of the previous film versions of his books.
