The time period for watching Barton Fink 5/3 (today) until 5/12 (a Saturday). The dicussion period will last from 5/13 to 5/27.
As far as I'm concerned the watching and discussion period don't have to be separated and you can start discussing Barton Fink as soon as you're done watching it. If you visit the discussion before watching the film do so at your own risk.

I watched this movie last week, so here goes. I didn't like this movie as much as I think I was "supposed" to. There are alot of Coen movies I like a WHOLE lot more, almost ALL of them practically. I loved the visual look of the picture and the direction. The acting was pretty good, especially John Goodman and John Turturro.
The story was just so-so for me. I thought after watching the film that it was a literal depiction of the story development hell that is prevalent in hollywood. I've since read that it was actually based on a real life jewish writer, Faulkner, the rise of nazism and some other real hollywood staples. Well all that escaped me. I like my hell theory better.
