WHY LBANGS IS A GOD
Lbangs, the main contributer of listology, is one of many people on listology I respect. The reason I choose lbangs for this article is not to get a gee thanks from him. No, it is to illustrate my deep admiration and fondness for him as a person and a great judge of the various entertainment mediums.
Les utilizes knowledge and insight in illustrating points he tries to make. He embodies all the characteristics of a fair yet firm judge on reviewing lists. He doesn't tip the scales in debates. He stresses good points and bad points that are made in discussions without holding a prejudice or bias view towards one listology member or the other. All in all, he's to the point on his opinions with out getting carried away (like I sometimes do). His statements are always enlightening, insightful, and most of all appreciated.
I still love Jim, dgeiser1, buddy, sebreg, bertie, johnny w, oUwilmo, AAA, jenhowel (of course),buber, jgandcag, uncroger, taryn, min, kbuxton and other's I might have left off.
"of course". I feel so special. I definitely agree that lbangs is a god, but I would also declare you and jim gods. You, because of the sheer insanity of those best movies from every year lists, and jim, well, because he created this listology earth.
Here's to you, oh jblack, for being the most appreciative of other listologists in your lists.

I totally and completely agree with jblack about lbangs being a media god (sorry lbangs, just a little g). If it weren't for lbangs I wouldn't have discovered this site and 95% of the movies that I enjoy. I am just now discovering all of the movies that many of you grew up loving (e.g. I just saw Citizen Kane for the first time a few months ago). I would have continued to dislike most of the "current" movies and stayed in the dark about all of the wonderful movies made. Lbangs is largely responsible for the numerous hours I have spent glued to the television and I am eternally grateful. Of course, I have the added bonus of seeing him almost daily so I can talk about my reactions to the movies in person and I am always astonished at staggering amount of information he knows about everything. I think lbangs missed one of his callings and should have been a judge because he is so fair minded.
Of course, I learn alot about things here on listology from everyone that I would have never known - so thanks to everyone for all of the effort and time you have put into this site. It really is a one of a kind site. While I am passing around kudos - thank you jblack for your series of lists on the best movies of each year beginning in 1940. It is a invaluable guide and an incredible source of information.
