What I'm Listening to Today: 3/10/04
Carol Thompson - "The Faerie Isles" - 8:25 A.M. - This probably wasn't the wisest choice for music at 8:30 in the morning. It would make peaceful background music but I'm wanting to fall asleep listening to it on my headphones. A sense of needing "closure" is the only thing keeping the CD playing until the end. (I have to finish what I started!)
James Galway - "The Celtic Minstrel" - 4:10 P.M. - More yawn fare. I hadn't listened to this CD in a few years so I forgot it was the boring slow Celtic music that so many artists put out. I like Celtic with flare. But, my sense of closure forces me to finish the CD. I must be masochistic. This is the second time today I've heard a version of "She Moved Through the Fair," the first time being on the previous CD I listened to.
Carol Thompson - "The Peacock's Feather" - 5:25 P.M. - Why would I bother listening to a CD by the same artist I was bored with earlier? Because I just happened to bring these to work today. I'll listen to them and then probably put them away forever. Carol Thompson's albums are performances on a harp. Big time harp fans might really appreciate this, I'm just not big into solo harp music.
