Weight

The weight of the world
Is not so great.

Your milky skin
Could hold only vanilla fumes
And sugared sweat.
You watched me waltz
Beneath the shouldered globe,
And you believed.

Yet I was not strong.
The weight of the world
Is not so great.
I buckled beneath your sweet scented skin
And watched the world spin.

But the fallen earth
Is not what I yearn to hold again.
