My first trance mix, which I think is pretty good:
1 - Offshore
2 - Halycon On + On
3 - Heliopolis
4 - Divine Moments of Truth
5 - Stella
6 - Saltwater
7 - Papua New Guinea
8 - Belfast
9 - Parasight
and separated into separate songs for your pleasure!

Sweet I'll def check this out when I have time, good tracklisting it looks like. Seen my minimal mix?
No, but I will download. Thanks dude.
sorry for being off topic but AsColdAsIce do you still have the first 50 from darktremor's "Top 400 trance songs, in order of best to...less best " uploaded somewhere?
thank you very much for all yours and many others posts on trance(hard genre to get good stuff when first starting to get into)
I sure do. Awesomely enough, it is still seeded like 8 months later, 4000+ snatches later.
The lists has changed a bit since then though.

thank you
i'll try to keep seeded for awhile for anyone else that wants
Thanks.
Hi, just listened to it through, all good tracks for sure, but I didn't feel a real progression of the music much. Also, the styles were a bit varied, though not too much, and it was very listenable. Just one suggestion, try mixing the tracks for longer periods of time as it makes them flow more into each other. Still, well done!
Fair enough, it was my first mix, and it is passable at best.
I've done 4 mixes so far, and I think the third might be my best so far, but it is really varied. I somehow managed to mix Pacific State, Jaguar, Love Simulation and Little Fluffy Clouds.
But there are a few small things wrong with it.
Anyways, I just did a classic trance mix with a few more unheard-by-most songs, and I'll give it a check, then upload it.
I'll eventually listen to your mix, but if I'm reluctant to listen to Balance 005, I might take a while to get to yours.
lol, fair enough, Minimal isn't for everyone. I'm making another one now (of a much higher standard) which is microhouse (Akufen, Jurgen Paape, Matthew Dear etc), so I dunno whether you're into that or not.
I was wondering if I gave you the times to seperate the tracks and you downloaded the whole mix you could split them up and zip them for me...but only if it wouldn't be too much trouble.
Gheuy, I dunno about that. Do you know how to create the separate tracks?
I would have thought mixing Microhouse would have been an enormous challenge, so the best of luck to you.
I honestly knock out mixes in like 2 hours, so that is why they aren't usually great. Some help, either from yourself, anyone else, or a website would... help.
Anyways, I just upped my latest classic trance mix, just a few lesser heard songs.
Microhouse is very fun and unpredictable to mix, it's not all just the glitchy stuff, but quite a lot is. Don't listen to the mix I have for microhouse at the moment, that's not a finished version, just a draft, I'll change the tracklisting and make it longer soon.
I know now how to created seperate tracks, it's quite hard for me though, I mix in live action, so if I make a mistake on recording I have to start again lol. See a mix would take me about a week (an hour or maybe a bit more each day) of preperation and then however long it is on the actual day of recording.
Some good tips for a mix would be;
1. Some ups and downs, (not meaning good and bad) in the sound, you don't want a whole mix of just one style.
2. Songs that mix well together, for long periods of time (2/3 minutes), so they sound better than they do seperately, listen to Northern Exposure with Wavespeech & Phoenix, it's pure bliss to listen to.
3. Make the mix have a theme, like it feels as though it's building up to something, or going down, or leading somewhere instead of just a random compilation.
Other than that, I suppose it's up to you to choose how to do it, but I'm not the best person to ask, Lycaeum is another good DJ on here, as well as Darktremor, oh and Lassic. I don't know if Alacrit DJs or not, or Karan129, but they both know their stuff.
Thanks, I mucked around with beatmapping and the like, and can't see a point, except in slowing/increasing speed in songs to match another one, thus making one of them sound slow or fast, which is useless.
I will take your suggestions on board, but that looks way too long to do, for someone with a short attention span such as myself.
Yeah, but doing short mixing is boringg!! It means every 6 mins or so you crossfade and beatmatch or whatever, and then you just listen again. Long mixing is the way forward! I'm gonna download your new mix anyway now, I'll comment what I think after I've heard.
Cheers dude. I'm onto Fruity Loops, and it is sorta confusing.
