So I'm feeling rather optimistic today and found some new reading lists. Back in
April, Christianity Today posted a great booklist you can find
here. It's
the Top 100 Books published in the 20th century that
"have shaped contemporary religious thought," and you might be surprised by some
of them.
Along the same lines, at the end of 1999, HarperCollins published this list: the Top 100 Spiritual Books of the Century. It seems there's
some interesting overlap... Anyone care to discuss, or recommend their favorites
so I know where to start?

There are indeed some ill-fitting titles on the C-Today list. For example, MacIntyre's AFTER VIRTUE, although a very moral book, is definitely not a Christianity-oriented book. On the other hand, religious belief is very arrogant and takes unto itself what it likes.
BTW, you need to re-do your second link - it takes us to the HC homepage, but where do we go from there?
Interesting. I actually posted this on taryn's behalf (weird problems with the posting form), and the link worked this morning. They must have changed something. But now I can't find it either. She she found it in the first place, maybe taryn can re-find it and post the new link.
I love Google. They cached the list in question.
sorry about that--i guess they took the list down. i copied it though; if you want to see it i can email it to you individually. just drop me a line at anyslyenchanter@hotmail.com
