BATMAN THE MOVIE (1966)
Plotline: batman and robin have to save the world from 4 different bad guys!!
***HAVE WATCHED AGAIN ON 7th of AUGUST, REVIEW UPDATED!*****

ok, so the year is 1966, and the cheapest, campest Tv show is about to hit the small screens..Batman. now what you have to remember is that bakc then, even with the bad puns and terrible style this was very popular tv show that made Adam West a household name. But you'd think with all those bad puns and bad style that they'd save us some grief and keep it to the Small screens, but no, they thought lets let them see it all..on the big screen.
So Batman the Movie was born. now what strikes me first about the movie is the thought motive that went into it which lacks, well lt me act out what i think one of the ideas meetings went.

Important guy: ok we need to make a Batman movie now what can we do?
Not so important guy: How about we combine all the villains, that means more fun!
Important guy: Yes I like I like…its like a super team of evil!!
Not so important guy: That’s the plan

so we have the caped crusader against riddler,penquin,joker and Catwoman. Now what the film manages to do right (or not so right, depending on how you see it) is keep the mood and tone of the tv show. of course this movie is alot 'lighter' than burtons movies later wil be put its the fun and the happy tune and of course bad lines that gave it its cult value.Now i cant remeber the exact plotline but i think it involved killing the world leaders, with a huge ray gun of sorts. And in true batman style, the bad guys catch our hero and lave him in a slow 'UNESCAPABLE' trap which he later escapes from. but without those moments it wouldnt be a batman movie.
From the entrance you can see that they are attempting to be stylish, with coloured spotlights with the main characters in..The Spotlight :] This Movie is beyond cheezy. at one moment batman has a (Very Fake) looking Shark (Because it is) bitting on to batman on the leg holding on while he clibms a ladder conecting to the Bat-copter, but luckly Robin Has Anti-Shark spray! (Yes Anti-Shark Spray) One of the most cheezy moments is when they go on thier Anti-Drinking rampage. when batman has to get trid of a bomb he drops it in the water, but robin says "Why Didnt you dump it in that Bar full of losers!" Batman Replies (looking at the camera) "Even though they lower themsevles to drinking..they are still human-beings" WoW....(Cheezy Me Thinks!)
the acting is poor but no better than the tv show, it looks the same but there are some cool parts. like penquin having his own submarine and the appearence of many different 'bat' things (ie batwing,batcopter and so on)
but i think for its pure funny, and ability to stay true to itself, i give this ***** 1/2 stars out of 10
