_Postmodern Lit_

What is it?...Well I'll try and provide an answer for YOU, without the obscurities plaguing the society of the world being founded upon by...lists, and other such non-informative pieces of informaiton unused to the normal culture and providing such a bland outlook of criticism from an obscured point of view.

Ha. Ha. HA! I'm not really like that, that's just my example of a little postmodern bit of literature. The postmodern idea really started to take form in the 60s and 70s with the emergence of authors like Thomas Pynchon and Kurt Vonnegut. They are known to be especially anti-Realistic, marked by normal ties to the law of nature yet against the norms of reality and of current popular fiction.

I see everything in images throughout my mind: songs come to me as images, moods, and I have my own images associated with postmodern lit as well. Let me describe it...There are iron bars that encompass the entire image, bronze and dark;COLD. Yet there is light through the bars which are magnificently colored in deep blood reds and dark blue, entangling each other in a pattern fluent in randomality. That's it.

I have to see that postmodern literature is my favorite genre because of the randomness and the obscurity in the writing and in the stories; the thought provocing unconventiality. I can understand people that hate it even more than I can understand myself. Who wouldn't want to read a realistic representation of life as we know it? Everyone right? Well...us postmodernists are weird, who wants to see the world in the real light...we do it every day in our own lives. Literature, postmodern literature, is a way to escape the natural boundries of man.
