Part 1 of my Fanastic movies of 2003 that many people did not see:Russian Ark

The most important and most over-looked picture this year was Russian Ark. The story of two men who visit different eras of russian history while walking through the Hermitage.In the story you can see how people and a culture change through art,it's fascinating,and beautiful to watch but what is more interesting or fascinating is the fact that it was shot in one continueous shot. That's right no cuts,no editor.Just things happening how they happen.This film took about 5 years to shoot.This meticulous,fantastic,visually stunning movie deserves to be applauded and viewed by everyone.It is the type of movie were you get so involved in what you see that you don't want to leave the theatre.
