My guilty pleasures that make me happy and rob my brain cells

The Breakfast Club
As a young man, I saw this movie with my best friend. We also watched Rocky Horror Picture Show that day. Anyway, we were hooked by the cartharsis, the terrible dialogue "Don't mess with bull. you'll get the horns." and Judd Nelson was ultra-cool. I watch it every year and feel the comforting cringe of nostalghia.

Jack And His Friends
I reviewed this somewhere else.

Humanoids From The Deep
Hilariously bad movie with improbable entertainment value. Salmon monsters attack fishing village and copulate with their women. The average acting is the highlight of the filmmaking. This is a crap classic.

I Want To Live!
A strident statement against the death penalty or just a silly, silly movie? You decide. The movie is based on a true story, but not very closely. I can say that Susan Hayward is excellent and Robert Wise was always a very consistant director. It was all that jazz that ruined her life. :D

Dirty Dancing
Dirty Dancing may have the worst script ever written. "Nobody puts baby in a corner!" is a classic slice of dumb cheese. It also has a cloying storyline and acting straight out of an Ed Wood film, but this movie is insinuating. Dirty Dancing is an example of everything wrong making a right. For me at least.

The Doom Generation
A movie appeals to me on a purely viceral level. This is a movie that rages with fanatical violence and has no remorse for the horrors it displays. (Ewwww, he ate his own sperm.):~\",",0,117,1,Movies"
