Jon Stewart is my hero
Did anyone else catch his appearance on Crossfire? Aside from any sort of political leanings, Jon Stewart has become my personal hero. Essentially, he went onto the show in order to tell Tucker and Carlson exactly what he has been saying about them. He told them that their show was "partisan hackery", and took them to task for using a major media news outlet to further political agendas instead of informing the people of America.
Naturally, the hosts were not extremely receptive to this criticism, but the audience in the studio loved Stewart and cheered him on. His basic message was that the media is doing nothing but serving the political machine, and the voters and citizens are left out in the cold. He tore into both sides, and in the end, called Carlson "a dick".
Sure, the word wasn't absolutely necessary, but it's good to know that there's someone out there fighting to keep us from being blindsided by partisanship.

I've been meaning to mention this for a while:
(You probably already know that) Crooks and Liars often has downloadable Jon Stewart Daily Show clips to watch at your leisure. Even when today's Edward R. Murrow doesn't show up there are enough video and audio clips (as well as links to other sources) to make up your own personal daily "Daily Show."
