Interesting Note about "1001 Movies to See Before You Die"
I had the fortune of receiving not one, but two copies of this wonderful book over the holidays. That's what happens when people use your Amazon wishlist, but don't actually do their shopping at Amazon.
Anyway, I was flipping through one copy when I noticed two movies at the end that I was sure weren't in the copy to which I had always referred (a library copy). After some searching, I noticed that the book is already in its second printing. I happened to receive one copy of each printing, so I was able to make a quick comparison of the differences.
In a nutshell, the difference is that two movies from 2002 were removed to make room for two films from 2003.
Removed (from 2nd printing): Adaptation and Far From Heaven
Added: The Barbarian Invasions and Kill Bill, Vol. 1
I will be including all movies (with appropriate notation) in my seen list.

Thank you for posting this. I will add those titles to my list, also. I've seen Adaptation, The Barbarian Invasions and Kill Bill, Vol. 1, but not Far From Heaven.
There's a new edition coming out this month apparently. Lord of the Rings, Mystic River, Farenheit 9/11, and Million Dollar Baby are in the book this time. However, it doesn't say which films will be excluded:
