??Gravity's Rainbow??

So...I just finished GR and have no idea what happened. I could basically keep up with the entire novel even with it's difficult style and language, but the end was just...well what the hell??

There are a couple things that I have a problem with. This will give away the ending.

Okay...the first question I had was what happened to Slothrop...how can he just fragment, it was almost like he just disappeared into oblivion. For all I know that was what happened. Now I understand all the metaphoric stuff with the story so am asking for the straight up answer (if there is one) not an explanation for the metaphoric psuedosexual weird ass rocket/penis/sacrifice stuff.

The second question I got was...what happened to the 00001 rocket that Enzian and the Schwarzcommando had control of. I thought that was going to be the rocket that was fired in the end rather than the flashback (I think it was a flashback) to Blicero's final stand with Gottfreid and the 00000 rocket. So after all we don't figure out what happenes linearly anyway...

Oh well it was a learning experience definitely for me as a pospective-aspiring-author. You can definitely tell from this novel that unconventiality is a characteristic of greatness.
