Friends
Oh well, what are friends there for? Why do you have friends? When do you know that someone is a friend?
Is a friend someone who can't accept you as you are?
Is a friend someone who only talks to you when (s)he needs something?
Is a friend someone who hasn't got an open ear for you when you need him/her?
Is a friend someone who surrounds himself/herself with a veneer of hypocrisy and shallow sentences?
Is a friend someone who lies to you?
Is a friend someone who makes hollow promises to you?
Is a friend someone who has got many different faces and wears a mask even in front of you?
My answer to all of these questions is clearly NO. But maybe I'm just in a bad mood now. Or I have got the wrong (so-called) friends.
Sorry to bother you with this, but if anyone wants to leave a comment, (s)he is welcome. I had to drop this off me.
Note: This is not directed against anyone on Listology. There at least people are good friends.

Anyone who doesn't fit those criteria clearly doesn't deserve your friendship. I'm sorry that you seem to have had a bad experience with an (ex)friend recently.

Man, sorry for whatever happened to elicit this. True friends are rare. Sounds like you've weeded one of the pretenders out.
Thank you for the kind words. True friends are indeed rare. But on Listology, good friends are numerous.
