Discussion: What do you think of this statement?

I'm just interested in what you'd probably think of these lines:
'Woman can change better'n a man. Woman got all her life in her arms. Man got it all in his head.'
The Grapes of Wrath, John Steinbeck








I disagree. Women are no more capable of changing than men. We're all human. I think women are more often forced by circumstances, their role in the family, to accept and adapt to things, because of their lack of power, but I don't think that makes them more capable of change.
I absolutely agree with you!
This statement is definetly true for the situation in the novel itself, but for real life, I have got serious doubts. Lets wait what the others think.
