They recently performed with Apples In Stereo and the Minders at the Troubador in Los Angeles and they were all great. I had a blast. Call and Response is a band with a flair for making disco and funk driven beats along with the synthesizer effects from the eighties.
Call and Response pretty much has the same credo as any pure/real artist band, they make music that they themselves enjoy listening to and not “sell out.” Call and Response’s sound harks back to the heydays of The Byrds and Mamas and Papas and they would be comparable to Komeda, the Cardigans, St. Etienne, Stereolab, and Cinammon to name a few.
As you can tell I'm promoting them, I personally, love them, and can't stop listening to their self-titled release.
