Bubble Wrap Shirt
I am on stage about two times a month, hosting a popular Karaoke program. Every so often, I do a theme. I'll dress up, or I will dress up the stage. Last time I made some hand painted adult Underroos. They were Batman.
This week, I made a shirt out of bubble wrap. I opend the evening singing "Tiny Bubbles" by Don Ho. I copied the pattern from a simple pajama top. It looked like a vest with short sleeves, so I did not have to bother with collars. To seal the seams, I used clear duct tape. For buttons, I attached grommets as holes, and used wing nuts and bolts. I also vented under the arms with grommets and some inthe back.
It was a hit. One girl declared it "california hot". She then said she would like a dress of it. Another guy is getting back to me, as he has a thing for bubble wrap.
The venting worked quite well, but I'd add a few more next time. I have some different ideas on how to do it.
The whole project only took about an hour including tracing out the pattern. It took 14 feet of 1 foot wide bubble wrap. Had my roll of wrap been wider, I would probably been able to conserve wrap, but fourteen square feet, or about 1 1/2 square yards.

dang! where're the photos? even a link to an external site where we can see...
I am terrible about documenting what I do. I will get a picture of it for you.
