Bertie's Complete Paraphrases of Shakespeare - Now Available Free!
The set of Paraphrases of Famous Scenes from Shakespeare that I have posted here at Listology is only a sample of what is available.
Many moons ago, I paraphrased 23 complete plays of The Bard's.
"Should have got a life instead" you may say, but it was great fun doing it, believe me.
I have recently uploaded all of my Shakespeare paraphrases - all 23 plays - to my own pages at Yahoo, using the 'Briefcase' facility they offer.
I can give public access, but I don't wish to do that. Instead, I can give access on an individual basis to any Listology member who wants it.
The only catch is that you will need to have a Yahoo account yourself, and you will need to give me your Yahoo ID. If you do not wish to give your Yahoo ID here at Listology, you can e-mail it to me. You should know where to find my e-mail address.
Jim has aleady taken me up on this offer.
So has lukeprog.
So has 0dysseus.
But I won't mention your name if you ask me not to.

This is just a note to jim, lukeprog and Odysseus. If you guys have tried to access my Shakespeare files and found them set at 'private access', it wasn't my doing. Yahoo has been tinkering and wiped all my settings, so if you want continued access you'll have to re-send me your Yahoo ID because I didn't record them.
bertie,
I am taking a Shakespeare class this semester. It is the first time I have read Shakespeare. His work is frustrating because I don't understand every 5th word because it is archaic, or because it means something very different from what it means today. I am using your paraphrases instead of the original text and your work is utterly fantastic. Very useful. Many, many thanks!
I'm glad you are finding them useful. I should warn you though that my paraphrases aren't as finished as I would like - by which I mean they are far from being error-free. I would like to have the time to do some more work on them but I doubt I'll get around to it. I take it you are having no problems with access at Yahoo - let me know if you do.
Btw, what play(s) are you reading?
First, Macbeth. Later, The Taming of the Shrew and Hamlet.
Unfortunately, TToTS is one of the plays I haven't done.
You are aware also of No Fear Shakespeare , are you not?
I was not, thanks!
I just realized I am more familiar with Kurosawa's Shakespeare than Shakespeare's Shakespeare. :)
I'm now reading No Fear Shakespeare's TToTS, thanks. It's hilarious! Shakespeare even makes a boner joke a few pages in!
hey.. i have to paraphrase act 3 scene 3 in romeo and juliet... lines 108 to 132... and i have no clue how to do it.. could you help me?

It's called No Fear Shakespeare. I wouldn't copy it though. Your teacher probably knows about this site and will catch you out. But it will give you a clue.
Have you paraphrased the Tempest? If so, would I have to get a Yahoo account to access it? Thankyou
Sorry, no Tempest. Suggest you try No Fear Shakespeare.
Ahh ok no worries, thanks!
