The only movie I watched from your list is Cruising, a pretty awkward film. I like the featurettes on the DVD, you learn more about it, how it was done. Really interesting.

Is the Chris Marker's short good?

What is your favorite movie this year so far? (from this list or the other 2011 one)

Hi,

Cruising was a great film; I was pleasantly surprised! It was rather racey for the early 80's!
The Marker short film was not all that great really.
The Sixth Side of the Pentagon is my favorite Marker so far, you can see it on Mubi.com (an amazing site)
My favorite by far is Liberation, a seemingly unknown Soviet film (in the West at least)
It's a 6 hour epic about the Russian/German front in WW2. Although, the depiction of the battle
for berlin is brutally dishonest, yet few films deal with this. It's a pirate bay find.
