  9. Inglorious Basterds- Quentin Tarantino (amazing, he's worked his life to get where he is now)
  10. District 9- Neil Blomkamp (surprisingly great film!)
  11. I Served the King of England- Jiri Menzel (one of my fave novels, this movie challenges The Tin Drum for best ever)
  12. Moby Dick- John Huston (1956, dont think I've seen in its entirety, a great film)
  13. Training Day- Antoine Fuqua (2001, surprisingly good!)
  14. The Assasination of Richard Nixon- Niels Mueller (2004, depressing, I work with sales people and Penn really nailed it!)
  15. Wall Street- Oliver Stone (Poor script, Charlie Sheen really cannot act. I see Stone is planning Wall Street 2: Electric Boogaloo)
  16. On the Beach- Stanley Kramer (1959, macabre, well-done)
  17. Boxcar Bertha- Martin Scorsese (1972, impressive, rapid cut editing during action sequences)
  18. Species II- Peter Medak (1998)
  19. Ambush- Olli Saarela (1999, Finnish, really good)
  20. The Iron Giant- Brad Bird (1999, great 70's feel)
  21. The Man from Laramie- Anthony Mann (1955, excellent!)
  22. Pierrot Le Fou- Jean-Luc Godard (criterion, 1965, amazing!)
  23. King of Hearts- Philippe de Broca (1967, playful hallucinatory film)
  24. The Baader Meinhoff Complex- Uli Edel (Amazing! I felt myself flinching and wanting to kick the pigs as well)
  25. The Secret Garden- Agnieszke Holland (1993, charming)

  39. Where the Wild Things Are- Spike Jonze (one of the worst movies since Miracle at St. Anna)

  41. The Darjeeling Limited- Wes Anderson (2007, Wow I'm really starting to hate Anderson)
