...and the book 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die, I have "discovered" these great directors. I had hardly heard of some of these, and never heard of many of them, before buying the book and using it to fill my Netflix queue. Now, I would see any movie by any of these fellows, based on their name alone. Not in any special order.
