Well, #7 is both "Traveling Riverside Blues" by Robert Johnson and "The Lemon Song" by Led Zeppelin. #10 is "Breakfast in America" by Supertramp. #12 is "Deacon Blues" by Steely Dan. And #25 is "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo. Also, I know the band who created #1, but the title escapes me. Poop.
very good all correct!
I love these games, but I'm really bad at them in general. I do, however, know that #14 is the Smiths' "There Is a Light That Never Goes Out" and that #16 is the Rolling Stones' "Sweet Virginia."
great!
#15 is "The Sound of Silence"
If it's comments you want then I've already said some stuff about the use of the Simon & Garfunkel song(s) in The Graduate:
[snipetty]
The movie starts with an anonymous Ben exiting unnoticed from a noisy crowded plane. Alone [as "The Sound of Silence" plays], he is carried along by a walkway. He has no purpose, no direction, no idea. He is empty. I also think I remember The Judge, Milt Hinton, telling a story about being called into a Simon & Garfunkel studio session. It was for what would become the album Sounds of Silence. Virtually no recording was done and Paul Simon said that they weren't going to use the music in any case. Simon explained that their previous record had been produced so cheaply that their record company had barely promoted it. Simon was determined to deliver an album so expensive that Columbia would have no choice but to promote it heavily.
As I recall it, Hinton said that there was a great deal of late night card playing and sandwiches. It was late at night because Paul Simon wanted to pay time and a half union rates to the musicians. It was sandwiches because musicians can always eat. I'll say this for Paul Simon: he seems to have a lot of respect for musicians.
I have to admit that I had a little thought that #24 was "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right." But I googled the song (and not the lyrics above) and figured out that I was wrong. Then I figured out that I was thinking of dummy lyrics I'd made up in my own head.
Damn you! imaginary life that I lead. Thank goodness that I'm the jazz trumpet-playing confidant of Kermit the Frog or I'd feel the complete fool. You seem like you know a lot about music...yep your right with sound of silence, and I can see the similarities with number 24.
#1 is the Doors, Peace Frog. I generally suck at these, but I'm pretty sure know that one at least.
