- I have bin listenin to techno music for like 6 months now and it is like the most AMAZIN muzic eva made and i no tons of bangin tunes that i want to share wit all you peps out there cos its the best and you gotta listen to these tunes cos im like the only one thats eva heard them before
- Sandstorm - Darude (this iz lik the best techno song eva. you get theez huge rushes that just make yo want to jump and shout and there is lik the 14 minute version that plays the song for ages and then changes to some other cool techno song with some guy saying "blow your mind" before this comes rushing back in. Officially the greatest techno song ever made)
- Everytime We Touch - Cascada (this is one of my fav's and i love the way its always on the radio and tv....the lyrics are soooooo catchy and meaningful and that cascada girl is so hot! this always gets me pumped up for a night out until 11p.m at the Under 18's night!!!)
- Adagio For Strings - DJ Tiesto (Tiesto is lik the greatest techno artist ever....i luv his traffic and dance 4 life but i tell you this tracks is the bomb. The bass is UNBELIEVABLE. Its soooo emotive as well. I get these mixed rushes of happy and sad cos its like from that sad film....a true techno masterpiece....i couldnt speak after his concert cos i was yelling at him so much and my arms killed from holding them in the air for 10 hours straight.i havent eaten for a week cos i like spent all my money on the ticket, but it was worth it. You are not a techno fan till u seen him live)
- Bounce to the Max - DJ Super-Bounce (my mate thats just got a divorse made this on this techno making program he downloaded FREE of the internet and its sooooo bangin. Its 12 minutes of pure energy. The track just builds and builds with this really cool synth sound getting louder and louder and this beat that sounds like its bouncing on a trampoline....if you want it i can sent it to you!)
- Daft Punk (anything by them...the are like the founders of techno music....around the world was like the first techno song ever made...its a proper classic tune)
- Alex K (the founder of bouncy techno....there is nothing he makes that you wont like....a proper genius o techno)
- The Logical Song - Scooter (this is proper hard man. Techno at its darkest.....hard beat and rapping before you are taking into a relaxing high pitch vocal sample that just sends shivvers down your spine everytime you listen.....actaully all there songs rock)
- Who Needs Guitarrs Anyway? - Alice Deejay (she iz like the definitive techno artist. If someone asks me what techno is i play them this album. All the tunes are great examples of what techno is all about. I still hear "Better Off Alone" played at sports grounds.....its deffinately in the top 5 techno songs ever made.....all my mates love it)
- Ian Van Dahl (they make some of the best and innovative tunes ever. they pioneer the genre. Hands down to them)
- Heaven - DJ Sammy (i first heard this at the club i go to. This girl was like eyeing me all night and when this came on we started dancing together.....after wards she even gave me her mobile number!!!! she was fine!)
- Pretty Green Eyes - Ultrabeat (thiz iz lik the tune that got me in2 Techno....i luv the way it iz so original and nothing sounded like it wen it came out)
- Barbie Girl - Aqua (u sooooo gotta love this. It iz soooch a novelty techno song....it never failz to get a parteee goin!)
- Crazy Frog - Axel F (theeez is sooooo catchy and itz an epic techno track to have. Its proper pumping too if you play it full blast out of your phones speaker)
- Satisfaction - Benni Benassi (everyone loves this techno track.....the bass is out of this world. Its proper tunage and the vid is well hot and explicit like techno should be)
- Thats it for now....i got like a ton more but i gotta go shopping with my mum and she like gets wel angry if im not ready. Hav a look at those tunes and i will be back proper soon to give you guys like a whole lot more becasue there are people out there that are trying to kill techno music by saying Sandstorm isnt techno and that techno isnt actaully a genre but a sub genre of something called EDM??? They obviously dont know anything about techno music and what it sounds like. They will understand when they have bin listening longer!!! Its up 2 uz guys to keepz techno bangin az aliv!

Yeah, it is a joke....i just thought i would make the list to laugh at people like that, otherwise is would have to cry! If you get the chance go to Yahoo Answers and have a look for yourself....truly shocking the crap that people come up with and say! No matter how many times i say to people "Sandstorm" is NOT Techno and give them links to discover what "techno" actually is you get some 10 more people who ask "Whats some amazing techno....like Sandstorm???"
There is a few people there that know what they are on about but we are kinda out numbered!
Anyways....i will add some more when i get the chance, its pretty hard though writting like im an idiot!

Lol. Its shocking how very close that is to what they say! Its why i hate Sandstorm so much....not that its a particularly awful song but because of the s**t its created.
Ha, right from seeing "Sandstorm" I figured it a joke, but seriously, what exactly do you consider to be "Techno"?
At the moment i have not been listening to techno long enough to give you a lengthy description of what i think techno is becasue i just dont know fully!
What i do know (and this could be wrong!) is that the music generally has 4-8 layers of which they are short and relitively simple compared with say Trance. The layers are then repeated over and over again in techno. Techno is also GENERALLY very focused on Electronic/ Machine Oriented sounds and instruments. That said, Detroit techno (i think) has some sampling of real instruments like in "Galaxy 2 Galaxy - Hi-Tech Jazz" and "Laurent Garnier - Man With The Red Face" which both have Saxophone samples in them.
At present my sources for Techno knowlege is Wikipedia's article that is very detailed on it and Ishkur's Guide and articles from here on Listology becasue they are the only places i have found to be reliable and actually know what they are talking about when they talk about techno.
Haha. I've heard approximately twenty techno tracks and am about as far from a techno enthusiast as you can get, and this still made me laugh out loud. Good job! :-D

I myself dont have that many techno tracks (probs about 40). I wasnt infering that becasue you are not a techno enthusiast you were one of these people....my grudge is against people that THINK they know what they are talking about when they are actually talking a load of rubbish.
The irony i love though is that they listen to all these artists that they think are amazing but most dont know a thing about them.
e.g. Cascada is NOT the woman that sings that most of these people think but is actaully Natalie Horler who is 1/3 of the trio that make Cascada!

hey, yeah i know about Sljiva's Techno Classics List....thats where my at present very limited knowlege on techno is from.
In case you didnt read the "Authors Comments" box, this is a joke Techno list....i dont honestly believe that Tiesto and Cascada are Techno. I was answering as though I was one of the many people that use Techno to decribe any form of EDM becasue they dont know a thing about the genre.
Lol yeah i did realise this was a joke list before even reading the author comments because I'd seen some of your other comments on the site. There are certain listologists who I'm not going to embarrass by saying names (the one in particular I'm thinking of I can't actually remember the name of!) who have made lists with these sort of songs on them.

Well, i think that on the whole Listology has managed to escape from the whole "lets call everything techno" sort of lists and people. I personally havent come across too many people like that on here. Maybe i just havent looked hard enough!
It was DarkTremors Top 400 Trance list that first had me looking around here and that list plus others has really opened my ears up to what good EDM is! I wasnt listening to rubbish before.... but more along the lines of Gatecrasher, Euphoria etc but now im listening to things like Techno, Goa Trance, Oliver Lieb that i had never really come across before.
I just checked out your Sasha & Digweed List and noticed you have both "Renaissance: The Mix Collcetion's" which i have been after for a while now. Anyway, i was just wondering whether you have a soulseek profile or something equivilent that i may be able to download the second one off you??? I just bought the 1st off Amazon Market Place becasue someone had a "Very Good Condition" one going for £23, but the second one has never come below about £35 for one just in Acceptable condition for as long as i have looked.
